Class Dojo (Behavior)

In our classroom, we use a behavior management system called “Class Dojo”. Class Dojo is a system in which each student has a monster (an account). Throughout the day, I give students positive feedback on their behavior which results in a gain of one point. The students can also lose a point if their behavior is not meeting our classroom expectations. I display the students’ monsters using the projector so that they are aware of my positive feedback during the day. At the end of each week, I transfer the students’ point onto an excel spreadsheet so that they can spend them on various items (i.e. chips, lunch with teacher, etc.). At this time the students’ points are returned to zero.

One of the great features about Class Dojo is that parents can make accounts and view their child’s behavior throughout the day. Class Dojo has the option of being used online at https://home.classdojo.com/#/login or on the Class Dojo app for smartphones. In order to view your child’s progress, you will need a specific code that I can provide you with. Please feel free to contact me for this code at any time.
