Mountain Vista School serves approximately 600 students in Transitional Kindergarten through Fifth grade. Twenty-five full- time teachers and support staff provide high quality California Standards based instruction to students. In order to meet the diverse needs of all of our students, additional certificated staff support student learning. A special education staff consisting of a special day teacher, resource teacher, speech pathologist/therapist, school psychologist, and occupational therapist support special needs and intervention students.
Staff and parents encourage and support all students as they transition through elementary grades. Our goals are designed to help all students succeed both academically and socially. The staff is committed to developing an extensive intervention and enrichment program to meet the needs of all of our students. An outstanding district sponsored after school programs provides an extended school day with physical education and academic support for students 100 students. The MV Pledge for Success is recited school wide every morning to foster school pride, responsibility and a respect for self and others. At Mountain Vista School we believe in and celebrate the success of each child.
